Here are some photographs of the restored Doak Cemetery at Compton, Quebec.

This is the Doak Memorial Wall, constructed in 1985 by the Doak Brothers, Douglas, Grant and Jim. There are original headstones embedded in the wall both front and rear. The inscription written by Grant can be seen in the center.

The wonderful inscription reads as follows:

Doak Cemetery

Established 1829

"In this cemetery rest some of the pioneers of Compton County. Robert Doak and his wife Abigail Crosby settled this land in 1810. They lie here with their family, friends and neighbors.

One generation passeth away and another generation cometh: but the earth abideth for ever. (Ecclesiastes 1:4)

Restored by the descendents of Robert and Abigail 1985."
